The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers

The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers recognises the UK’s leading employers, from a wide range of industries & business sectors, that do the most to provide successful apprenticeships for their employees.

Devised originally by High Fliers Research in 2020, the prestigious annual rankings are now featured each summer in The Sunday Times, showcasing the country’s top employers to the widest-possible audience of school & college-leavers, parents, careers advisers, apprentices and employers.

About the Rankings

The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers celebrates the UK’s outstanding apprenticeship employers – recognising their commitment to employing apprentices, creating new apprenticeships, the diversity of their apprentices, and the number of apprentices who successfully complete their apprenticeships.

The rankings are entirely data-driven and the entry process has been designed to be simple and straightforward for employers to complete. All entrants receive full feedback on how their apprenticeship programmes compare with other employers in their industry or business sector.

The new rankings are launched during a specially-produced 90-minute TV programme and then featured in The Sunday Times newspaper and online on a Top 100 microsite.

Preparing the 2026 Rankings

Research is under way for The Sunday Times Top 100 Graduate Employers for 2026.

The rankings are sponsored by BPP, part of the Lyceum Education Group, and are supported by the Association of Apprentices, AELP (Association of Employment & Learning Providers), The Careers & Enterprise Company, and The 5% Club.

Entries include entry for the Top 100, ranking within your own industry or business sector, entry feedback and benchmarking with other entrants, 5 complimentary digital subscriptions for The Times & Sunday Times, and free places at an exclusive programme of Top 100 workshops in the autumn.

The new rankings will be showcased in a special 16-page supplement in The Sunday Times in the summer.
