The Sixth Formers’ Guide to Degree Apprenticeships

First published by High Fliers Research in 2025, The Sixth Formers’ Guide to Degree Apprenticeships is a new 150-page digital guide that is available at over 5,000 schools & sixth form colleges across the UK.

The guide showcases more than 100 leading employers and their degree apprenticeship programmes, to help sixth form school-leavers understand how degree apprenticeships offer a debt-free ‘earn as you learn’ alternative route to a university degree and graduate employment.

About the Guide

The Sixth Formers’ Guide to Degree Apprenticeships is produced in association with the Department for Work & Pensions, The Careers & Enterprise Company, and Future Leaders.

Aimed specifically at Year 12 & Year 12 sixth form students, the comprehensive annual guide explains how degree apprenticeships work, how and when to apply for places, includes advice and guidance from employers, case studies of current degree apprentices, in-depth employer profiles, and an A-Z of organisations who are recruiting for degree apprenticeship programmes.

Since its launch, the guide has been read by over 75,000 sixth form students, parents and school staff – and has featured degree apprenticeships in more than 15 industries & business sectors.
