The 5% Club Employer Audit
In 2021, High Fliers Research was delighted to be appointed research partner for The 5% Club – the employer association that sets its 1,200 members the challenge that at least 5% of their workforce should be in 'earn-as-you-learn' roles, such as apprenticeships and graduate development programmes.
Over 250 employers now participate annually in The 5% Club Employer Audit, to officially measure and benchmark their their progress towards the 5% target.

About the Employer Audit
The 5% Club Employer Audit is a comprehensive research and accreditation programme that benchmarks employers’ recruitment and employment of apprentices and graduates – and leads to Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum accredited membership of The 5% Club.
Research for each Employer Audit takes place in June & July, with employer completing an online questionnaire and taking part in data verification by
telephone or email. Employers receive their own 48-page report, assessing and benchmarking their provision of ‘earn as you learn’ opportunities, the diversity of their apprentices and graduates, and their current and future recruitment plans.
The results of the Employer Audit are launched at The 5% Club Skills Summit, a prestigious one-day event in the autumn that announces the accredited members of The 5% Club – and reveals the winners of The 5% Club National ‘Earn & Learn’ Awards.
Participate in the Employer Audit
The 5% Club is a dynamic movement dedicated to fostering skills development and shaping the future workforce, through apprenticeships, graduate programmes and other ‘earn and learn’ roles. It welcomes new members from all industries & business sectors – large employers and SMEs – who share the ethos of ‘earn and learn’ opportunities.
Registrations for The 5% Club Employer Audit in 2026 are now open and employers from across the UK are expected to participate in this year’s research.
